July 2017 Board Minutes


BOARD: Tina Eissler, Naomi Patterson, Jane Byus, Ryan Siegfried

MGMT:  Susan Keene, Larry Edwards

     The Sandpiper Bay Board of Directors met on July 19, 2017, at 6:00 at the Sandpiper pool. The June minutes and financials were reviewed and approved.  There were no architectural control requests.

OLD BUSINESS:
  • The Board will let CSI Protective Services know that they need to be more consistent with it reports.  The Board will also invite IMPD to attend the Annual meeting.  They will also review whether the CSI report could be placed on the website.
  • The burning bushes are becoming too large.  Send letters to those homeowners who need to trim their bushes back.  Volunteer homeowners will help.
  • Brian Steigler an email to the Board thanking them for listening to the homeowners.  He is already seeing a difference.  It is important that homeowners call in repairs.  If you see something, say something.  Please do not automatically assume that management will see it.
  • The Board received an updated project list from Larry Edwards of PSG.  There were lots of projects for the current month.  Brandon will try to set up the website so homeowners will know what has been done.

  • The meetings of the Board are as scheduled:

  • Carrie Storms, Bonnie Grimble, and Tina Eissler have volunteered to be the Sandpiper Bay Welcome Committee.  PSG will call the committee when a unit sells and closes.  They will coordinate with Brandon about the welcome packet.
  • There is an ongoing discussion about the high grass around the lake.  The Board will continue to try to regulate the Canada geese population.  The only effective deterrent are the dogs, but those are very expensive.  One Board member mentioned the use of cattails to curtail the geese.
  • Carrie and Bonnie have also volunteered to clean the outdoor lights.  Anyone who would like to help paint the utility boxes would be welcome.  The color is Forest Green.

Friday – January 6th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Put down additional ice melt on the entrance and in front of mailboxes
·      Surveyed the complex and picked limbs in yards
 Monday – January 9th, 2017 – Did the following work:

Ø  Replaced the pie shaped end of soffit on this unit
Ø  Counted the amount of siding and trim needed to make repairs on the end of this building and unit.
-       Ordered the materials to make repairs
Tuesday – January 10th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Made a good trash pick up across the front and through out the complex
·      Cleaned storm drains
·      Piled up limbs through out the complex and loaded on the truck for disposal
·      Took truck load of debris to Rays
Wednesday – January 11th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up paint and paint supplies from Sherwin Williams
·      Picked up truck load of siding from Menards
·      Painted siding at the pool house in prep for use next week

·      Put down ice melt on the entrance and curves through out the community in prep for freezing rain over the weekend.
Monday – January 16th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up insulation board at Menards and deliver to the complex for use later this week.
·      Made a good trash pick up across the front and through out the complex
·      Picked up full truck load of limbs through out the complex and hauled to Rays trash
Wednesday – January 18th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      9522 East Drive – North End of building
Ø  Removed lower section of siding and half of the 2nd level
Ø  Repaired insulation board
Ø  Installed 10 sheets of siding and trimmed out the bottom and corners
Ø  Caulked new trim and siding joints
Ø  Touched up the paint
Ø  Took a truck load of debris to Rays trash
Thursday – January 19th, 2017 – Did the following work:

Ø  Picked up additional trim from Menards
Ø  Took to the pool house and painted in prep for use

Ø  Removed the remaining half siding of siding from the 2nd level and all of the siding from the 3rd upper level.
Ø  Repaired insulation board as needed
Ø  Installed new siding on the 2nd and 3rd level
Ø  Installed new trim and caulked
Ø  Removed and replaced all the wood on the north bay window
Ø  Touched up nail heads and caulk
Ø  Took a truck load of debris to Rays trash
Ø  Friday – January 20th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up additional “smart trim” and “drip cap” to be used on siding repairs next week. Stored at the pool house

Ø  Removed the rotted sections of siding on the back siding of the chimney and replaced.

Ø  Stacked up scrap to be removed later
Saturday – January 21st, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Painted the trim delivered yesterday in prep for use next week
January 19th, 2017
·      Assisted PSG personnel with replacement of siding on the north end of building #11.
Ø  Removed siding and related trim from the 1st and half of the 2nd level of the 3 story high building.
Ø  Repair the insulation board behind the siding
Ø  Installed 8 pcs of siding, new drip cap, trimmed and caulked
January 20th, 2017
·      Assisted PSG personnel with completion of the siding on the north end of building #11.
Ø  Removed the remained of the siding from the 2nd level and all of the 3rd level and related trim

Ø  Installed 1x12 band boards and drip cap on 2nd and 3rd level

January 21st, 2017
·      Assisted Larry with removal of siding and trim from the 2nd and 3rd level on the back of the chimney at 9522 East drive. Installed new siding and trim.

Monday – January 23rd, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up paint and paint supplies at Sherwin Williams
Ø  Picked up 12 pcs of siding and trim at Menards
Ø  Painted siding and trim in prep for use next week

Ø  Screwed supports on deck
Ø  Surveyed remainder of decks on building #11 and secured supports with screws
·      Loaded up lumber generated by the contractors working on the chimney last week and took to Rays along with trash from the pool area
Thursday – January 26th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Investigated abandoned vent on side of building that was open and causing cold are to get into the unit
·      Removed 36” long section of 1x12 belt boards, cut and installed new section and caulked
Friday – January 27th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Put down ice melt at the entrance
Wednesday – February 1st, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up “6” 1x12 boards at Menards
·      Picked up paint at Sherwin Williams
Ø  Transported the lumber to the pool house and painted in prep for installation next week
·      Painted new lumber where Larry made a repair on the end of the building last week.
Wednesday – February 8th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Made a good trash pick up across the front of the complex
·      Put down ice melt in prep for the snow and ice storm
Thursday – February 9th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Retreated the front entrance and intersection of the complex
·      Larry made a complete building inspection on all buildings on the South and East, took pictures and made list of repairs and materials needed for the 2017 years repairs.
Friday – February 10th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up materials at Reese and Menards
·      9536 East Drive – South 3 story end of building
Ø  Removed all trim from 2st and 2nd story of building
Ø  Removed 4 lower 4x8ft sheets of siding from the lower level, 8 from the 2nd level and 8 1ft high pcs between the 2nd and 3rd level
Ø  Repaired damaged area of insulation board behind the siding
Ø  Installed “12” pcs of pre-painted T1-11 siding on the 1st and 2nd levels
Ø  Installed new drip cap and 64ft of 1x12 smart trim between the 1st, 2nd and levels of sidng.
Ø  Installed 1x6 trim across the bottom and up both sides
Ø  Caulked with “Geocel “ sealant
Ø  Hauled a full truck load of scrap to Rays trash
February 11th, 2017-
Ø  Assisted PSG crew with removal of siding & trim from the 1st and 2nd story of 9536 East Dive and the installation of the new siding and trim.

Wednesday – February 15th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up paint and paint supplies at Sherwin Williams
·      Picked up a load of trim lumber at Menards
Ø  Painted the trim lumber in prep for building repairs later in the week.
·      9474 Sandpiper East Drive
Ø  Caulked, filled nail holes and painted trim and siding installed earlier
·      Building #12 – 9536 East
Ø  Touched up the paint on the new siding and trim installed last week
Thursday – February 16th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up “20” sheets of siding and 20 sticks of siding drip cap at Menards
·      Transported to the complex
·      Painted the siding in prep for installation over the next two weeks.
·      Put down grass seed on yards between buildings 11 & 12 where we have been doing repairs.
Ø  Also surveyed complex for areas damaged by snow plowing and seeded.
Friday – February 17th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Removed the remainder of the trim and siding from the 2nd and 3rd story level of the South end of building #12.
Ø  Repair and replaced the insulation board as needed
Ø  Installed new siding and trim where the old was removed
Ø  Replaced the rake boards on the peak of the building.
Ø  Replaced the 1x4 and 1x6 trim where the siding meets the lower roof shingles across the full length of the east side of the building
Ø  Caulked all the new trim and siding with Geocel sealant
·      Loaded the scrap and topped off the truck with piles of limbs from through out the community
·      Hauled a truck loads of scrap to Rays trash
February 17th, 2017
Assisted PSG crew with removal of siding & trim from the 3rd level story of 9536 East
·      Also replaced the 1x4 and 1x6 cedar trim where the siding meets lower roof across the east side of all “6” building units.
February 18th, 2017
Building #11 – 9522 East Drive - Replaced leaking siding and trim behind and on the sides of the chimney and re-flashed. 
Monday – February 20th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up 1x4 & 1x6 Smart trim at Menards
·      Picked up Gray paint and paint supplies at Sherwin Williams
·      Painted 24 pcs trim at the pool house in prep for use on Tuesday
Tuesday – February 21st, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      9560 East Drive (North end of building #12)
Ø  Removed “10” pcs of siding and related trim on the north end of building #12.
Ø  Replaced water damaged rotted 2x4s and insulation board.
Ø  Installed “10” pcs of new siding
Ø  Trimmed around the glass bay window
Ø  Installed 1x6 across the base of the wall
Ø  Removed the rotted 1x6 cedar from the 3rd story peak rake. Replaced the rake board with 1x6 “Smart Trim” and repaired the boxed end eve boxes
Ø  Caulked all the new trim with Geocel sealant
Ø  Hauled a truck load of scrap from the repairs to Rays
Wednesday – February 22nd, 2017 – Did the following:
·      Picked up 10 pcs of T1-11 12” OC siding at Menards
Ø  Painted at the pool house in prep for use today
·      9556 East Drive
Ø  Removed rotted siding and trim over garage peak
Ø  Installed 2 pcs siding and related trim
Ø  Caulked with geocel sealant
Ø  Met homeowner at this unit and looked at the damaged garage door.
·      9552 East Drive
Ø  Removed rotted siding and trim from over the garage peak
Ø  Installed 2 pcs siding and related trim
Ø  Caulked with geocel sealant
·      9540 East Drive
Ø  Removed the buckled trim along the side of the North side of the garage.
Ø  Screwed down the existing metal drip cap so water would run off properly.
Ø  Installed a wood 1x4 drip cap and 1x4 trim, screwed to the “Hardi-Board” siding and sealed with Geocel sealant.
·      Took a truck load of scrap to Rays
February 22nd, 2017
Assisted PSG crew with removal of siding and trim on the end of building #12 and replacement.
Thursday – February 23rd, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      7540 East Drive
Ø  Cut and installed short section of trim on soffit over the garage
Ø  Reattached the gutter and downspout next to the chimney on the 2nd story roof in back.
Ø  Painted the trim installed on the garage yesterday
·      9552 & 9556 East Drive
Ø  Touched up the paint on the siding installed yesterday
·      Picked up the up the snow stakes, bundled and stored for the season.
Monday – March 6th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Cleaned up limbs blown down in last weeks heavy winds
·      Load up truck and hauled to Rays
Tuesday – March 7th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Cut up large section of tree that fell behind 3091 North Drive
Ø  Stacked up the large section of tree for homeowners to use as fire wood
Ø  Loaded up the remainder of the tree on the truck along with limbs that would not fit on the truck yesterday
·      Purchased light fixtures at Menards
·      Replaced ceiling light fixtures as follows:
Ø  Ceiling light in the pump room – Fixture and wiring completely eaten up by chlorine gas.
Ø  Replaced “2” fixtures under the canopy
Ø  Replaced “2” ceiling fixtures in the storage room
Ø  Replaced bulbs in the restroom lights

Ø  Reinstalled blown off fence slats

Ø  Looked at damaged brick and leaking drier vent

·      Unstopped the lower front gutters on units with River Birch trees on South and East Drives.
Ø  Also removed limbs from the roofs and gutters
Friday – March 24th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Met homeowners at 3181 Sandpiper North drive to investigate a persistent leak.
Ø  Got in attic to look for possible roof leak from inside.
Ø  Found bath exhaust duct leaking in attic
Ø  Told homeowner this would be theirs to repair and gave suggestions or repair methods
March 23rd , 2017
Performed the following work at Sandpiper Bay Homeowners Association:
·      Investigated reported roof leak on the 2nd story roof at 3181 Sandpiper North Drive. Found no issues with roof that would cause this leak. Called the property manager and discussed
Ø  Cleaned all gutters on this building while on roof
Monday – March 27th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Made trash pick up and picked up limbs through out the complex
Ø  Took truck load of scrap to dumps
Thursday – March 30th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Dropped off bag grass seed at 3090 South
·      Looked at report of water getting into garage at 9462 East
Ø  Order materials top make repairs tomorrow
·      9536 East
Ø  Investigated siding leak at rear of this unit. Talked to homeowner about shutting off power to the outside plug in box on the porch so the box and siding can be removed
Friday – March 31st, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      9562 East Drive
Ø  Dug up 4” corrugated drainage pipe connected to the garage downspout.
Ø  Installed new pipe and drain box
Tuesday – April 4th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      9478 East Drive
Ø  Replaced siding and trim on the peak of the garage
Ø  Replaced 1x4 over lower front roof
·      9492 East
Ø  Completely rebuilt one of the bay windows at the rear of this unit
·      Took a truck load of debris to Rays trash
Wednesday – April 5th, 2017 – Did the following work;
·      Picked up “6” pcs 1x6 and “12” pcs 1x4 smart trim at Reese supply
Ø  Picked up paint at Sherwin Williams
·      Transported materials to Sandpiper and painted this lumber in prep to use at a later date.
·      9536 East
Ø  Removed a rotted section of siding under the electric boxes on the back of this unit and replaced.
-       Required the removal cable wiring and electrical boxes to accomplish this repair.
·      Finished out the load of scrap on the truck with limbs through out the complex and took to Rays trash.
Friday – April 14th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Building #12 – 9552 East
Ø  Painted the new garage door
·      Pool house
Ø  Took inventory of materials on hand
Ø  Sprayed weeds around the pool fence
Ø  Trimmed the shrubs
·      Entrance
Ø  Picked up trash at the entrance and main road
Ø  Hand weeded and sprayed the front entrance plant beds
·      Picked up trash and sprayed weeds in cracks through out the complex
·      3132 South Drive
Ø  Sprayed weeds by deck
Ø  Trimmed shrubs along the common walk
Wednesday – April 19th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Looked at tree removed by Roy Wolfe
·      Looked at rear decks that homeowners reported for repairs at 9540 and 9544 East Drive.
Ø  Both need minor hand rail repairs
Ø  Made list of needed repairs and material required. These will be addressed in the future
·      3132 South
Ø  Investigated leaning fence and weeds reported by homeowner
Ø  Fence needs minor repairs that will be addressed in the next couple of weeks
·      9478 East Drive
Ø  Replaced “2” pcs siding on the upper side of the fireplace chase
Ø  Trimmed out with new trim and calked
Ø  Replaced damaged face of upper bay window
·      Filled up remainder of truck with limbs that the grass cutting crew had piled along the curbs and took a truck load of debris to Rays trash
Thursday – April 20th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up 24pcs of 1x4 Smart Trim – 16ft long from Reese
·      Picked up “4” gal of paint from Sherwin Williams
·      Transported to complex and painted in prep to use later
·      Also loaded up the scrap generated by the roofing crew from the high chimney repairs at 9466 East Drive to haul away.
·      Larry assisted roofing crew with the high siding on the chimney at 9466 East
Ø  Looked at roof leak with roofing crew at 3152 South
-       Stopped at Reese to get cost on new skylight and will talk to board about its replacement
Ø  Also ordered additional siding and plywood at Menards for pick up on Friday for future repairs.
Friday – April 21st, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up the following materials at Menards, transported to the complex and stored in the pool house
Ø  12 sheets of T1-11 12” OC siding
Ø  6 sheets of ½” CDX Plywood
Ø  Box roll nails for the siding nail guns
·      9478 East Drive
Ø  Took up a deck board and outside hand rails on the upper deck to get to the patio door repairs
Ø  Removed the rotted siding across the bottom of the patio door and cut siding next to the patio door and chimney
Ø  Removed related 1x4 trim
Ø  Installed drip caps, ripped and installed 1x12 under the patio door
Ø  Trimmed out and caulked
Ø  Installed new deck board and reinstalled the hand rail
Ø  Transported load of scrap from this repair and the chimney the roof crew was working on at 9514 East Drive to Rays trash
·      Sprayed the weeds growing up along the back all the East Drive buildings
April 20th, 2017

·      Investigated roof leak at this address,
·      Found skylight that needs replaced, made temporary repairs and got numbers and measurements on skylight for manager
·      Note: The chimney cap also needs replaced

Ø  Removed rotted siding from the 2nd level face and long with related trim
Ø  Also removed rotted sheeting behind the siding
Ø  Installed new sheeting, siding and trim
Ø  Trimmed out siding overlaps and caulked

April 21st, 2017
·      9514 East Drive
·      Removed rotted siding from the 3rd level face and roof siding of chimney
·      Replaced rotted sheeting
·      Installed 3 pcs siding and related trim
·      Covered siding joints on chimney, trimmed out roof level chimney and caulked
Wednesday – April 26th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      9540 & 9544 East Drive
Ø  Investigated report the front post lamps were not coming on
Ø  Test both lamps, removed tops and found not power to post
Ø  Left not for homeowners to turn on switch or reset the GFIs
·      9540 East
Ø  Made list of materials needed to replaced the hand rails
Ø  Stopped at Menards and ordered the materials to make repairs next week. And siding to be picked up and painted tomorrow.
Thursday – April 27th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up “12” pcs of siding at Menards and drip cap
·      Picked up paint at Sherwin Williams
·      Painted the siding in prep for use next week
Wednesday – May 3rd, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up a truck load of lumber at Menards
·      9540 East Drive
Ø  Removed the deck railing and part of the frame on the upper rear deck at this unit.
Ø  Repaired the frame and new railing
·      Delivered paint to homeowners at 9540 and 9556 East Drive
·      Sprayed the weeds growing in the common areas through out the complex with Round up
·      Loaded up the scrap from the deck repairs and piles of limbs through out the complex and hauled to Rays trash
Thursday – May 4th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Cleared storm drains through out the complex
·      Building #14 – Closed window at the rear of this unit on the upper deck
·      Picked up the remainder of piles on limbs left by the grass cutting crew
Monday – May 8th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up soil and seed at Menards
·      3186 South Drive
Ø  Soil and seeded yard with no grass and filled with roots
·      9560 East Drive
Ø  Used up the remainder of soil and seed in a bare area behind this unit
·      Picked up trash across the front of the complex
·      Removed limb out of tree at 2512 North

Ø  Got up on 2nd story roof, took pictures and talked to homeowners

Ø  Removed 2 pcs of rotted siding over the front roof level along with rotted trim around 2 windows and along the roof level.
Ø  Installed new siding and trim
Ø  Caulked and touched up the paint
·      Removed rotted 1x6 along the roof peak
Ø  Installed new trim, caulked and touched up the paint
·      Moved the lumber and trim from under the pool deck canopy and stored in prep for pool to be opened

·      Picked up shingles, plywood, membrane and flashing at Menards
·      Removed trim on chimney, took up shingles on the back corner of the chimney.
·      Installed ice & water membrane and rapped up on chimney, flashed, reinstalled trim and caulked
·      Cleaned gutters
Hauled away debris
Thursday – May 25th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Cleaned gutters and downspouts on North, East and part of South Drives

Tuesday – May 30th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Posted pool permit, repaired garden hose for pool workers and made sure the phone was working.
·      Talked to Kevin Hill about his drier vent and looked at his repair
·      Sprayed weeds at the entrance to the complex and in street cracks
Wednesday – May 31st, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Cut up large fallen limb from tree at Basketball court
·      Loaded as much of the debris as possible on the truck and transported to Rays trash for disposal.

Tuesday – June 6th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Finished cleaning gutter and downspouts on South Drive
·      Cleaned gutters and downspouts on West Drive
·      Sprayed weeds growing in cracks and overgrown plant beds
·      Picked up piles of limbs through out the complex
·      Picked up signs, drilled signs and attached to posts
·      Put in areas indicated by board around lake
Monday – June 12th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up paint and paint supplies at Sherwin Williams
·      Painted the new wood on the repaired decks at 9536 and 9540 Sandpiper East Drive.
Thursday – June 15th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      3208 Sandpiper South Drive
Ø  Made the following  repairs to alleviate a leak into the living room and bedroom.
-       Removed the end deck railing, deck floor plank, 3 pcs siding and related trim on the 2nd level deck.
-       Installed 1x10 under across the face of the deck and under the upper patio door.
-       Installed drip cap and “3” pcs of new siding
-       Installed new trim around the patio door, across the top of soffit and on the corner.
-       Reinstalled the deck railing and floor plank
-       Caulked and touched up the paint
-       Sealed the trim and siding on the back side of the chimney above the roof level
-       Took scrap to Rays trash along with limbs picked up through out the complex


Monday – June 19th, 2017 – Did the following work:

Ø  Completely rebuilt sides and face of these windows boxes, caulked and painted

Ø  Replaced the rotted face of the rear bay window
Thursday – June 22nd, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked siding and trim at Menards
·      Picked up paint and paint supplies at Sherwin Williams
·      Set up saw horses and painted the following:
Ø  12 sheets T1-11 siding
Ø  4 pcs. – 1x12” x 16ft smart trim
Ø  8 pcs – 1x4” x 16ft smart trim
Ø  6 pcs – 1x6” x 16ft smart trim
·      Loaded up scrap from the repair crew and took to Ray trash
·      9480 East Drive – Did the following work:
Ø  Replaced the siding and trim on the right side of the chimney
Ø  Rebuilt rear North West corner back corner bay window
-       Painted 2 rear bay windows
Ø  Replaced 1x12 belt board between 9480 & 9478 East
Ø  Replaced the face of the bay window next to the chimney
Ø  Caulked and painted the new lumber
Ø  Inspected and made list of addresses of chimney caps on East Drive that still need replaced
Monday – June 26th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Started cutting down the volunteer trees and saplings that had overgrown the large evergreens across the front of the complex.
Ø  Also prayed the large thistles growing in the same area
·      Building #3
Ø  Remove growth around the base of the tree at 3238 North
Ø  Removed saplings and sprayed weeds around rear of building
Note:  Ended up with 4 very large piles of debris from this work
·      Loaded up truck load of debris and proceed to Rays trash
Tuesday – June 27th, 2017 – Did the following work;
·      Removed saplings and trees growing up in the fence line along the west side of the Property.
Ø  Cut on both sides of fence
·      Cleaned up area at the SW corner of the property between the fence and street
·      Trimmed the shrubs and cleaned up saplings around the pool house
·      Painted the remaining lumber that was not painted last week at the pool house storage and let dry while making first trip to Rays trash
·      Come back and loaded the 2nd load of debris on the truck, put up lumber and delivered doggy bags after filling stations as best we could without a key.
Wednesday – June 28th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Started clear saplings from the fence on the East Side of the complex
·      Loaded up the last load of trimmings from the first of the week plus loaded up a pile a homeowner left on North Drive
·      Took truck load to Rays trash
Thursday – June 29th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Looked at “3” post lamps that were reported out
Ø  3182 South Drive
-       Replaced bulb and left note
Ø  3094 South
-       Disconnect wires from light at garage
-       Tested with meter and found wires or light is shorted to ground
-       Left disconnected and left note for homeowner that we will return next week to dig up the cable
Ø  9544 East
-       Replaced bulb and electric eye and left note for homeowner

Wednesday – July 5th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      3186 South Drive
Ø  Raised shade on low hanging tree over the drive at this unit
·      Finished clearing fence row on the east drive
·      Raised shade on trees on the fence line and in front of units on this street
·      Took truck load of debris to Rays trash
·      3094 South Drive
Ø  Dug up pole lamp cable and found broken wire
Ø  Spliced in a new section of wire
·      9544 East
Ø  Dug up cable starting at the light from the light to the sidewalk.
Ø  Determined the wire was broken of damaged under the walk
Ø  Spliced on a roll of new wire at the post and will send crew back to dig in the new wire along the drive, under the walk and across the court yard to the porch tomorrow
Thursday – July 6th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up top soil, white rock and seed at Menards
·      9544 East Drive
Ø  Dug in cable from the pole lamp along the drive, under the walk and across the courtyard to the porch.
Ø  Cover up wire with top soil and seed
Ø  Left end out so Larry can connect to the homeowners service later
Note: This was very difficult digging because of the large rooted from the tree that was removed from the areas last year. Had to use chain saw and digging bar to remove the roots.
·      Removed weed from “3” dock areas and filled in the boat landing areas with fresh white rock
Friday – July 7th, 2017 – Did the following work:

Ø  Waited on homeowner to connect wire and she did not show up. We left note and rescheduled


Monday – July 10th, 2017 – Did the following work:

Ø  Investigated downspout problem
Ø  Found the corrugated pipe below ground filled with roots
-       Disconnected as a temporary fix and will return later to dig up and replace.
·      Cleared storm drains and picked up limbs from heavy rain and winds over the weekend. (lots of limbs)
Wednesday – July 12th, 2017 – Did the following work:

Ø  Removed siding on the 1st and 2nd level right side of chimney and related trim
-       Replaced siding and trim
Ø  Replaced the 1x10 belt board between units
Ø  Installed 1x6 trim boards to cover drip caps on all 3 levels of chimney on all sides
Ø  Caulked with Geocel in prep for painting
Ø  Took truck load of scrap from todays work and limb pick up Monday to Rays trash
·      Picked up drainage supplies at Menards

Ø  Dug up root filled corrugated drain pipe, installed new drain pipe and drain box.
Thursday – July 13th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Picked up large fallen limb on 3125 North and hauled away
Friday – July 14th. 2017 – Did the following work:
·      3094 South Drive
Ø  Picked up 3 sheets of ½ OSB sheeting and Geocel from Reese
Ø  Removed lower level siding on front and both sides
Ø  Removed the rotted sheeting behind the siding
Ø  Removed 2 pcs rotted 2x4 supports on the chimney chase framing, installed new treated ones along with additional 2x4 blocking
Ø  Cut and installed new sheeting and siding on all 3 sides of chimney
Ø  Trimmed out corners with 1x4 smart trim and covered all 3 levels of drip cap with 1x6 smart trim
Ø  Made a temporary repair on the upper level patio door side of chimney and will return later for make permanent repairs. Note: Upper door needs replaced
Ø  Replaced one section of brick mold, 2 pcs siding and trim over the lower patio door. (Note: The patio door needs replaced)
Ø  Caulked all new lumber with Geocel in prep for painting
Ø  Hauled truck load of scrap to Rays trash
·      Waited on homeowner at 9544 East Drive to make connections on light fixture service. Homeowner did not show and left note.
·      3182 South
Ø  Investigated no power to front light fixture
Ø  Found not power coming from home after removing light fixture and the box cover on the garage.
Ø  Met homeowner and looked inside for possible kicked out breaker or GFI.
Ø  Also removed switch cover at front door light switch and checked for power.
Ø  Informed homeowner that she would need to get an electrician to check for the interior problem further.
Ø  Also looked at some siding and trim problems on the chimney and called off to put in work order for later repairs
Monday – July 17th, 2017 – Did the following work:

·      Sprayed all evergreen along fences on South and East Drive with “Sevin” insect spray to treat for bag work infestation of these trees.
·      Trimmed the shrubs at the pool
·      Hand weeded and sprayed the front entrance
·      Blow off the tree droppings from the pool deck and sprayed weeds
·      Sprayed the Thistles along the main road growing up in the large evergreens with Round up

·      Sprayed large amount of thistles growing around the large evergreens at the front of the complex
·      Sprayed weeds growing in cracks and along fences through out the complex

Tuesday – Sept. 5th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Made a good trash pickup through out the complex
·      Investigated water running from curb at 9482 East

·      Cut up a large fallen tree limb across the drive and loaded on the truck

Ø  Back screwed and secured brackets on gutters across the front of the upper level

·      Picked up screen at ACE Hardware, took to 3132 S and reinstalled. No Charge
·      Made a good trash pick up through out the complex and entrance
Friday – September 15th, 2017 – Did the following work:

Ø  Removed rotted brick mold around the back patio door, cut and installed new. Caulked as needed
·      Moved the lumber stored on the outside of the pool house to the area under the canopy where it will be stored for use for the winter months

Monday – Sept. 25th, 2017 – Did the following work:
·      Walked the perimeter of the lake
Ø  Removed saplings along bank
Ø  Sprayed round up on grass and weeds growing in the rocked area
Ø  Took truck load of debris to Rays trash
Note:  Grass cutting crew was contacted and they will weed whip the tall grass left.
·      Looked at section of leaning fence on West Drive and secured the fence to the post as needed
·      Continued spraying light poles and street sign poles through out the complex
·      Made good trash pick up
